Council has ratified the 2014/2015 annual membership dues. On behalf of Council, I am providing you with the following information. INVOICES WILL BE SENT OUT IN EARLY APRIL.


Appointment of CEO, CPA-NB:

The Unification Agency Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants – New Brunswick (CPA-NB) is pleased to announce that Nancy Whipp, CPA, CA, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.

Nancy has been a professional advisor to a range of businesses in New Brunswick and provided transformational leadership to the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce as their CEO. Prior to moving to New Brunswick, Nancy held financial leadership roles with JTI-McDonald Corp, Unsworth and Associates in Luxembourg, KPMG, Canadian National Railway, BCE Inc, and Pirelli Cables Inc. Nancy completed her CA designation with Ernst & Young in Montreal in 1989.

Nancy was selected as a result of a national search and will assume her new role in January 2014. Reporting to the Unification Agency Board, Nancy is looking forward to working with the members and staff to assure a smooth transition of the three legacy organizations into one united provincial body.

Office location

The Unification Agency Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants-New Brunswick wishes to advise that the head office of CPA-NB will be located in Moncton, New Brunswick. Details of the location will be communicated to you once it is confirmed.

Joint venture

The Unification Agency Board also wishes to inform members that the Council and Boards of the NBICA, CGA-NB and CMA-NB have agreed to form a joint venture to carry out the transition activities as outlined in the merger proposal until such time as the CPA legislation is proclaimed later in 2014. It is expected that the joint venture agreement will be finalized in January 2014.

MPD Reporting Members are required to maintain adequate records to support their annual declaration re: PD activities
